- El papel de la fisiología femenina en los tratados sobre la flebotomía de Galeno MÓNICA DURÁN MAÑAS Lengua y Literatura Galen woman plethora phlebotomy physiology Though phlebotomy is a well‐documented practice since Hippocrates, only after Galen has its use become widespread in all types of diseases. Both in the configuration of the theory explaining its beneficial effects and in the particulars of its practice, women were especially relevant as clinical cases.
