contents Supramolecular photochemistry and solar cells Neyde Yukie Iha Murakami Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) solar cells inorganic photochemistry supramolecular photochemistry photoelectrochemical devices Supramolecular photochemistry as well as solar cells are fascinating topics of current interest in InorganicPhotochemistry and very active research fields which have attracted wide attention in last two decades. Abrief outline of the investigations in these fields carried out in our Laboratory of Inorganic Photochemistry andEnergy Conversion is given here with no attempt of an exhaustive coverage of the literature. The emphasis isplaced on recent work and information on the above mentioned subjects. Three types of supramolecular systemshave been the focus of thiswork: (i) cage-type coordination compounds; (ii) second-sphere coordinationcompounds, exemplified by ion-pair photochemistry of cobalt complexes and (iii) covalently-linked systems. In the latter, modulation of the photoluminescence and photochemistry of some rhenium complexes are discussed.Solar energy conversion and development of thin-layer photoelectrochemical solar cells based onsensitization of nanocrystalline semiconductor films by some ruthenium polypyridyl complexes are presentedas an important application that resulted from specifically engineered artificial assemblies. 2000 artículo científico 0001-3765 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=32772109 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=327 Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências application/pdf Academia Brasileira de Ciências Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências (Brasil) Num.1 Vol.72
