- Brief review of dinosaur studies and perspectives in Brazil Alexander W. A. Kellner Diogenes A. Campos Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) Brazil Dinosauria Paleontology Dinosaur research is developing at very high rates around the world resulting in several new discoveries thatare improving our understanding of this terrestrial reptilian clade. Except for the last couple years, the studiesof Brazilian dinosaurs have not followed this expansive trend, despite the high potential of several dinosaurlocalities. So far there are only eight described taxa, four in the last year, representing theropod, sauropod, and one possible prosauropod taxa. Except for footprints, there are no records of ornithischian dinosaurs inthe country what is at least partially explainable by the lack of continuous vertebrate fossil collecting programin the country. More funding is necessary to improve the research activities in this field. 2000 artículo científico 0001-3765 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=32772405 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=327 Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências application/pdf Academia Brasileira de Ciências Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências (Brasil) Num.4 Vol.72
