Medicina Psychogenesis comprehension woman’s pathology The treatment of psychic abnormality and madness which we find in Shakespeare’s works is in itself of great interest to the psychiatrist as representing what he sees everyday in the clinic. He has described in Ophelia’s madness something which has not been as adequately reproduced anywhere else: the phenomenon of becoming de-ranged in the exact meaning of the word- the de-rangement of the self from its former state.
