A third possible source of inspiration that he does not mention is also taken into cons ide rahon: Ludwig Tieck's (1793) Herr Von Fuch since, certain traits in the cha racters of Bonario, Celia, and, to a lesser extent, Volpone, bea r resemblance to Karl Krahfeld, Louise and Herr von Fuchs in the German versíon.
