However, there is an increasing interest on nutrient recovery (N and P), which from both environmental and economic reasons have been identifi ed as key feature in anaerobic digestion plants. The manuscript presents a comprehensive overview on recent advances in nutrient recovery technologies applicable for anaerobic digestion systems.
