contents Local-global linkages in the food regime: global history and the internationalization of Brazilian agribusiness Helder Ferreira do Vale Relaciones Internacionales local food regime Agribusiness global history global linkages This paper analyzes the internationalization of the Brazilian agricultural sector through a “global history” approach. The goal of the paper is to understand the internationalization of agribusiness as a smaller part of a transformation in the global food regime. In tracing the trajectory of agribusiness internationalization in Brazil, the paper explores patterns of local-global interaction and the new opportunities that emerge in global food regimes as a result. Finally, the paper probes the internationalization of Brazilian agribusiness under the state-agrarian elite partnership that has taken advantage of local and global transformations in agribusiness in recent history. 2018 artículo científico 0034-7329 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=35860342010 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/358/35860342010/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/358/35860342010/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/358/35860342010/35860342010.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/358/35860342010/movil 10.1590/0034-7329201800110 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=358 Revista Brasileira de Política Internacional application/pdf Universidade de Brasília Revista Brasileira de Política Internacional (Brasil) Num.1 Vol.61
