contents Lead acetate and lead nitrate induced sex-linked recessive lethal mutations in mature sperm of Drosophila melanogaster María Isabel Concheso Rosario Rodríguez Patricia Ramos Ciencias de la Tierra The mutagenic effects of two lead salts were invcstigated: acetate and nitrate onrnnture sperm of Drosophila melanogaster. Oregon R adult males were injected intraperitoneallywith different concentrations of the salts: 650, 750 and 850 ppm for leadacetate and 25, 50 and 73 ppm for lead nitrate. Treated males were mated withvirgin BASC females and tlie F, scored for the induction of sex-linked recessive lethalmutations. The Iiigher doses of both salts were found to induce a significant numberof these mutations at 5% level on the Kastenbaum-Bowman test , (1970), lead acetatebeing less toxic and les> mutagenic than lead nitrate. 1986 artículo científico 0188-4999 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=37000105 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=370 Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental (México) Num.1 Vol.2
