contents Cytological effects of some carbamate insecticides. II. Induction of sister chromatid exchanges in Vicia faba by lannate-90 Alfredo Delgado Rodríguez Rafael Valencia Quintana Libertad Juárez Santacruz Juana Sánchez Alarcón Ciencias de la Tierra The carbamate insecticide methomyl-containing technical formulation of lannate-90 was tested for itsability to induce sister chromatid exchanges (SCE). Meristematic cells of Mcia faba root tips were used astest system. Treatments of2 h with severa1 concentrations of this insecticide were applied followed by thedifferential stain technique including 5-bromodeoxi uridine incorporation and the Feulgen reagent. Theresults showed a significant increase of SCE frequencies when compared with the control (P~0.001) and aconcentration-response relationship was obsewed, thus sustaining that lannate-90 is an indirect actinggenotoxic in Mcfa faba. 1998 artículo científico 0188-4999 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=37014106 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=370 Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental (México) Num.1 Vol.14
