contents Feasibility analysis of a sewage sludge treatment by an irradiation plant in Mexico Jaime Moreno Arturo Colín Miguel Balcázar Leticia Tavera Ciencias de la Tierra sewage sludge treatment plant irradiation treatment Technical and economic analyses of an irradiation plant for sewage sludge treatment determinedthat an appropriate place for the first sludge electron irradiator in Mexico would be the sewagewater treatment plant located north of Toluca in the State of Mexico. This treatment plant ismainly used for domestic wastewater and produces an approximate volume of 70 ton d-1 liquidsewage sludge. Considering a 50 kW power of a 10 Mev electron linear accelerator, an irradiationdose of 5 kGy and a treatment capacity of 346 tons per day, it is estimated that the treatment costwould be of $9.00 US dollars per ton. 2002 artículo científico 0188-4999 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=37018405 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=370 Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental (México) Num.4 Vol.18
