contents Contaminación enterobacteriana en la red de agua potable y en algunos sistemas acuáticos del sureste de México Hector Rodríguez Santiago Alfonso V. Botello Ciencias de la Tierra The total number of coliform, feacal, and other pathogenic bacteria were established inthe surface layen of water and sediment samples collected at stations located in the Coatzacoalcosand Tonala riven and the Ostion Lagoon in Veracruz, Mexico. The distnbutionof the microorganisms found in the area studied seems to be influenced by the waste waterdkharges and surface drainage from nearby urban settlements. The quality of drainagewater was also studied in the cities of Cosoleacaque, Minatitlan, Coatzacoalcos, AguaDulce, Las Choapas and Nanchital, employing the MPN techniques for the quantificationof coliform bacteria. The results of this investigation can be used as evidence thatwaste discharges from coastal settlernents cause contamination. 1987 artículo científico 0188-4999 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=37030103 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=370 Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental (México) Num.1 Vol.3
