  • Cytogenetic effects of some cellosolves Mario Altamirano Lozano Patricia Orozco Patricia Ríos Rafael Villalobos Pietrini Sandra Gómez Arroyo Ciencias de la Tierra Several concentrations of methyl, ethyl and butyl celiosolves were applied tocultures of human lymphocytes in order to investigate their effect in the inductionof chromosomal aberrations and sister chromatid exchanges. When metaphase cellswere observed, it was noted that these solvents did not increase significantly thefrequency of aberrations, but they did make a difference in the case of sister chromatidexchanges. The effectiveness order was: ethyl> butyl> methyl. Ethylceliosolve was the most toxic because 2000 ppm inhibited the ceii division, whichdid not happen with the other two cellosolves. 1989 artículo científico 0188-4999 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=37050103 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=370 Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental (México) Num.1 Vol.5
