C. Agardh. The periodicloads which permitted the mechanical operation of the systems and a balanced nitrificationprocess were 5% of the initial for chicken manure and 10% for cow manureand the macroalga. Once the load ratio was established, it was possible to recognizean initial period of adjustment of the bacteria populations, followed by a transition stageand finally a periodic stage, with constant nitrification rates. During the processthe nitrogen balance was negative, with a net loss of 70.0, 82.0 and 11.9 percent ofthe total inorganic nitrogen in the biodigesters that operated with chicken and cow manure, and with the macroalga, respectively. 1993 artículo científico 0188-4999 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=37090102 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=370 Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Internacional de Contaminación Ambiental (México) Num.1 Vol.9
