Gathering this theoreticalbackground, this article has as objective verify that the main cause of the introduction ofgender mainstreaming in the Galician autonomic level is the consolidation of this publicpolicy in the Communitarian sphere. The mention of the European model, the presenceof communitarian funds and the chronological coherence are the three indicators usedto corroborate this hypothesis.
