  • Irán Contemporáneo: De la Monarquía a la República Islámica. Análisis delas luchas sociales y dela alternativa religiosa shi´ita frente al secularismo Roberto Marín Guzmán Lengua y Literatura An analysis of the political, economic, social and religious history of Iran in the 20 th Century begins with the Pahlavi dynasty and continues with Irans Shiite Islamic Revolution, led by the Ayatollah Khumayni, opponent of the Shah and founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran in February, 1979. Khumayni proposed the political, economic and social possibility of religion as an alternative to capitalism and a dynasty as an alternative to the dictatorship of Shah Muhammad Reza Pahlavi. Khumayni´s regime was also abusive, and came to be as repressive as the Shah´s. Iran´s extreme nationalization plans under Khumayni´s government have, since his death, been under systematic revision, which has led to an increasing opening to privatization, capitalism and globalization due to the more moderate governments of Rafsanjani and Khatami. The contrast between the two periods of the Islamic Republic is so evident that a Second Republic of Iran has come into being. 2003 artículo científico 1405-4167 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=38401405 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=384 Revista de Humanidades: Tecnológico de Monterrey application/pdf Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Revista de Humanidades: Tecnológico de Monterrey (México) Num.14
