The study of cholinesterases in these organisms can give important information about their physiological status and about environmental health. However, it is very important to know how the environmental factors such as fluctuation of physicochemical parameters associated to the presence of pollutants might affect these cholinesterase activities. We studied the response of cholinesterase activity in the caged cockle Cerastoderma glaucum. Inaddition, we evaluated the potential uses of cholinesterase activity in the common sole, whichinhabit the Tunisian coast, subjected to different stress conditions, such as the exposure to different contaminants. This review summarizes the data obtained in some studies carried out in organisms from the Tunisian aquatic environment. 2013 artículo científico 1646-8872 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=388340143010 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=3883 Revista de Gestão Costeira Integrada - Journal of Integrated Coastal Zone Management application/pdf Associação Portuguesa dos Recursos Hídricos Revista de Gestão Costeira Integrada - Journal of Integrated Coastal Zone Management (Portugal) Num.4 Vol.13
