The studys findings indicatethat genders impact is not uniform, affecting in an exclusivelynegative manner a womans participation, but is rather varied,indirect and subtle. The findings also challenge the tenets ofthe Socioeconomic Status model of political participation aswell as those from feminist perspectives.
