  • Limitations of the institutional development plan of the Higher Education Federal Institutes in Brazil Alexandre Nascimento de Almeida Anderson Allan Almeida Galvão Educación Planning Management Higher Education The Federal Institutes (FI) are specialized in technical and technological vocational education at different levels and modalities. The instrument for planning and evaluation in higher education institutions in Brazil is the Institutional Development Plan (IDP) and the objective of this paper is to evaluate the limitations of the IDP for FI. To do so, the application of a questionnaire to the managers of the FI was carried out and information that addressed the limitations of the IDP was obtained.
