contents Burnout Syndrome in Public Servants: Prevalence and association with Occupational Stressors Mary Sandra Carlotto Sheila Gonçalves Câmara Psicología public servants worker’s health Burnout syndrome occupational stress The objectives of this study were to identify the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome (BS) and the predictive power of occupational stressors for its dimensions - Enthusiasm toward the job (inverse), Psychological Exhaustion, Indolence and Guilt. This study assessed a random sample of 538 public servants from a State Court of Justice (RS/Brazil) who answered the Spanish Burnout Inventory, a sociodemographic questionnaire, a work-related questionnaire and and occupational stressors questionnaire. The prevalence identified was 6.5% for Profile 1 BS (Enthusiasm toward the job - inverse, Psychological Exhaustion, Indolence) and 4.4% for Profile 2 BS (Enthusiasm toward the job - inverse, Psychological Exhaustion, Indolence, Guilt). Stressors that predicted Burnout Syndrome were work content, work organization, type of public served, social environment of work, physical conditions of the workplace, work hours, workload, relationship with heads, and relationship with colleagues. Results suggest a need for intervention in occupational stressors present in work organization. 2019 artículo científico 1413-8271 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=401064743002 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/4010/401064743002/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/4010/401064743002/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/4010/401064743002/401064743002.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/4010/401064743002/movil 10.1590/1413-82712019240302 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=4010 Psico-USF application/pdf Universidade São Francisco Psico-USF (Brasil) Num.3 Vol.24
