contents FlexIR: A Domain-Specific Information Retrieval System Saïd Radhouani Claire-Lise Mottaz Jiang Gilles Falquet Computación user interface domain dimensions Information retrieval We present a precise search engine adapted toprofessional environments which are characterized by a domain(e.g. medicine, law, sport, and so on). In our approach, eachdomain has its own terminology (i.e. a set of terms that denote itsconcepts: team, player, etc.) and it is organized along dimensions, such as person, location, etc. The dimensions, as described below, are made of concepts and semantic relationships that representa particular perspective or point of view on the domain. Wemainly use the notion of domain dimension to: i) precisely indexdocument content, and ii) develop an interactive interface whichallows the user to precisely describe his or her information needand therefore precisely access the document collection. 2009 artículo científico 1870-9044 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=402640452004 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=4026 Polibits application/pdf Instituto Politécnico Nacional Polibits (México) Vol.39
