  • Violations to the Principle of Non-Refoulement Under the Asylum Policy of the United States Shirley Llain Arenilla Derecho Asylum IIRIRA USA PA Refugee Intercep This paper provides a critical analysis of the ongoing asylum policy of the United States, as the largest receptor of asylum claims in the industrialized world, to explain how it violates the principle of Non- Refoulement established in Article 33 of the 1951 Convention of Relating to the Status of Refugees and the1967 Protocol relating to the Status of Refugees.
