This de vice is based on two pi ezo elec tric ce ram i cs work ing incon tin u ous mode and us ing quad ra ture phase de mod u la tion for de tect ing the blood flow Dopp ler sig nal.The probe gen er ates the I (In phase) and Q (in Quad ra ture) Dopp ler sig nals as au dio. These sig nals arefed to the line in on the PC sound board for fur ther pro cess ing. Os cil la tor-transmitter and de tec -tor-demodulator cir cuits are in te grated into a 1.5 x 9 cm printed cir cuit board (PCB). Pi ezo e lec tric ce -ram ics are placed and con nected 1 cm apart the PCB, this achieves noise re duc tion and in creases theprobe sen si bil ity.
