Wright Wolfgang Kapfhammer Flavio Braune Wiik Antropología Man Nature Relations Cosmographies Religious Pluralism Departing from three ethnographic cases the article discusses impactsand native responses to developmentalist cosmography in the presenceof market-oriented projects of “sustainability” (as among the Baniwa andSateré-Mawé) or in the absence of it (as among the Kaingang). The legitimationof anthropological discourse within construction of alterity and (des)exotization of indigenous societies and of the environment they live in isdiscussed as a privileged field of mediation and encounter of different actorsand proposals of projects. Among the cultural pre-conditions that steerthese encounters there are religious pluralism and the inherent pragmatics ofindigenous conversion, which are responsible for ruptures and continuitiesof indigenous cosmovisions and – practices and man-nature-relations. Theyact upon aesthetics, social morphology, distribution of power and local economics.Although these encounters are prone to generate internal conflictsthey are perceived as promoters of indigenous well-being through processesof naturalization sustained by occidental regimes of alterity that legitimatetheir presence. 2012 artículo científico 1809-4341 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=406941913014 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=4069 VIBRANT - Vibrant Virtual Brazilian Anthropology application/pdf Associação Brasileira de Antropologia VIBRANT - Vibrant Virtual Brazilian Anthropology (Brasil) Num.1 Vol.9
