  • Revisión electrocardiográfica en suidos: Sístole eléctrica auricular, despolarización y repolarización eléctrica ventricular Francisco M. Castejón Montijano Estrella I. Agüera Buendía Begoña Escribano Durán Pura Tovar Bustos Ma. Dolores Rubio Luque Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) ECG SWINE P WAVE T WAVE PQ SEGMENT This study aims to compile the greatest number of data concerning electrical auricular systole as well aselectrical ventricular depolarization and repolarization in swine using a non-invasive technique such aselectrocardiography. This review proves the peculiarity of cardiac activation and recovery, due to thedistribution of Purkinje fibres throughout the ventricular myocardium of swine, where small areas are freefrom these conduction fibres, thus producing varied readings during electrocardiography. Firstly, electricalauricular systole is described, including ventricular depolarization and repolarization, as well as any factorthat may influence these processes. Secondly, the study aims to classify the mean values for duration andvoltage, as well as values obtained by other authors, so as to clarify both concepts for all veterinarians workingwith electrocardiography in swine. The views of different authors who have carried out electrocardiographystudies on the duration, voltage and morphology of every component of the electrical auricular systole, as wellas both electrical ventricular depolarization and repolarization are compiled in this study. There is a greatvariability between the results reported mainly due to differences between swine breeds, ages, weights, useof different derivation systems as well as great variability between experimental conditions. 2003 artículo científico 0301-5092 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=42334405 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=423 Veterinaria México application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Veterinaria México (México) Num.4 Vol.34
