Thus, the aim of this study was to purify sugarcane juice by microwave radiation in order to produce sugar and ethanol. The results were submi tted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey test with significance level 0.05. As regards the original and processed material it was analyzed for: turbidity, color, total soluble solids (Brix) and pH, as well as microbiologically.
