The viscosity measurements show that sunscreen formulations are time-dependent non-newtonian fluids. UV-VIS absorption spectra show that sunscreen creams have high UV shielding ability, mainly the formulations containing inorganic and organic filters mixtures, which provide in vitro SPF and critical wavelength values recommended for UV protection. 2019 artículo científico 0100-4670 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=42958876005 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/429/42958876005/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/429/42958876005/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/429/42958876005/42958876005.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/429/42958876005/movil https://doi.org/10.26850/1678-4618eqj.v44.2.2019.p26-36 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=429 Eclética Química application/pdf Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho Eclética Química (Brasil) Num.2 Vol.44
