  • Emission patterns of urban air pollution S. Enrique Puliafito David Allende Ingeniería area sources Urban air quality greenhouse emissions atmospheric dispersion geographical information system The estimation of air quality and greenhouse emissions at urban centres is based ondetailed source inventories, pollution and meteorological monitoring data and anadequate modelling capability. These inventories are normally assembled either ina top-down or bottom-up approach, depending on the available information and thedesired spatial and temporal resolution. In this paper we first present the inventoriescalculated under both methods, for the city of Mendoza, Argentina. The emissionestimations are spatially distributed using a geographical information system leadingto an urban emission pattern or grid. This emission grid is used to compute the airpollutant concentrations, which are calculated using two dispersion algorithms:ISC3P and CALPUF. Finally the results are compared with data from monitoringstations. 2007 artículo científico 0120-6230 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=43004204 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=430 Revista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia application/pdf Universidad de Antioquia Revista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia) Num.42
