The procedure considersthe spatial interpolation process, the cross validation with the index of agreement (IOA), andthe analysis of the effect of sampling density and the coeffi cient of variation (CVOi), usingdifferent error statistics. The interpolation maps are complemented with gradient anddirectional gradient maps that may serve as complementary aides in the defi nition of criticalsampling points. The procedure is applied to data imputation of three pollutants NO2, PM10(particulate matter of diameter 10 microns) and TSP (total suspended solids) from observeddata samples in the city of Medellín (Colombia). 2015 artículo científico 0120-6230 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=43042289009 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=430 Revista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia application/pdf Universidad de Antioquia Revista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia) Num.76
