Their reasons for being satisfied or dissatisfied are also discussed. The Spanish companies operating in China are mainly in the services sector (56%) particularly in the areas of professional services, such as advertising, legal, consulting, etc. Almost half of the Spanish companies have been established in the Shanghai area. Contrary to popular belief, most companies establish a business in China to access their market, rather than to employ labor cost. In terms of continuity, the answer is almost unanimous: most Spanish companies plan to remain in the country in the coming years.
