Souza Ridnal João do Nascimento Administración y Contabilidad Quality Management Production Corporate sustainability This article presents field research with bibliographic support studying aspects related to corporate su stainability. It covers the implementation of a quality m anagement system where sustainabil ity and requirements are addressed in a system, in which quality is not only seen as maintaining compli ance with standards and features of a product; it also encompasses numer ous attributes connected with responsibility. It was conclud ed that there had been significan t returns, which allowed it to meet qualit y standards and consolidate the supply of products with greater accuracy, in addition to promoting the image of the company as being socially responsible. Gains in efficien cy and commitment from suppliers were also demonstrated, thus allowing product prices to remain competitive.
