contents ARE CORPORATE UNIVERSITIES ( CU) POSSIBLE IN EMERGING COUNTRIES? A SURVEY CONDUCT ED IN ARGENTINA SHOWED IMPACTING RESULTS Leandro A. Viltard Administración y Contabilidad Argentina Emerging countries Corporate University Developing co untries Corpor ate education and training At the time of our investigation, the CU was not a widespread concept in Argentina, being view ed as a “foreign - far long project” (coming from developed countries and standing for the long term). It is suggested that the rate of CU evolution, in emerging countries like Argentina, is more relat ed to mentality issues than to CU strategic or operative limitations. Alt hough the executives who replied to a survey were not the only power factor in their organization, their comments allow us to think that, in those countries, the CU may have a better future perspective. The research used a quali-quantitativ e methodology, which was based on a survey to top executives of diffe rent kinds of com panies located in Argentina. The research design wa s not experimental and transversal, as it was limited to a specific moment in time. 2014 artículo científico 2236-269X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=449544335007 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=4495 Independent Journal of Management & Production application/pdf Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo Independent Journal of Management & Production (Brasil) Num.3 Vol.5
