García ALDRETE Biología Mexico Chihuahua Psocoptera Tarahumara Results of a survey of the Psocoptera of the Sierra Tarahumara, conductedfrom 14-20 June, 2002, are here presented. 33 species, in 17 genera and12 families were collected; 17 species have not been described. 17 species arerepresented by 1-3 individuals, and 22 species were found each in only onecollecting locality. It was estimated that from 10 to 12 more species may occurin the area. Fisher´s Alpha Diversity Index gave a value of 9.01. Only onespecies of Psocoptera had been recorded previously in the area.
