Gilbody Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Collisions Charge transfer Translational energy spectroscopy (TES) has been used to study one-electron capture by He2+, C4+, andO6+ ions in collisions with CH4 within the range 200 - 2000 eV amu¡1. In each case the main collisionsmechanisms and product channels have been identified. The measurements reveal significant differences in theway the dissociative and non-dissociative mechanisms contribute to electron capture. However, in all cases, thehighly selective nature of the charge transfer process is confirmed in spite of the wide range of energy defectsassociated with possible product channels. 2006 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46403603 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.2B Vol.36 |
