contents Highlights from the Pierre Auger Observatory Antoine Letessier-Selvon Pierre Auger Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Ultrahigh Highlights energy cosmic rays Pierre Auger Observatory The Pierre Auger Observatory is the world’s largest cosmic ray observatory. Our current exposure reaches nearly 40,000 km 2 sr and provides us with an unprecedented quality data set. Th e performance and stability of the detectors and their e nhancements are described. Data analyses have led to a number of major breakthroughs. Among these, we discuss the energy spectrum and the searches for large-scale aniso tropies. We present analyses of our X max data and show how it can be interpreted in terms of mass composition. We also describe some new analyses that extract mass-sensitive parameters from the 100 % duty cycle surface detector (SD) data. A coherent interpretation of all these recent results opens new d irections. The consequences regarding the cosmic ray composition and the properties of ultrahigh-energy cosmic ra y (UHECR) sources are briefly discussed. 2014 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46432476015 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.5 Vol.44
