- Asymmetry Parameter for the Nonmesonic Decay of 5 ¤He César Barbero Alfredo Galeão Pio Francisco Krmpotić Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas We report the preliminary result of an exact calculation of the asymmetry parameter, a¤, in the nonmesonichypernuclear decay, based on a one-meson-exchange (OME) model. For the case of 5¤He and including onepion-exchange only, the result is shown not to differ considerably from the one obtained with the approximateformula widely used in the literature. In particular, the sign of a¤ remains negative, in disagreement with itsmost recent experimental determination.
