contents Hadron Polarization in Semi-Inclusive Reactions Involving Photons C.J. Salinas Solano V. Gupta Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas A phenomenological model which has had some success in explaining polarization phenomena and left-rightasymmetry in inclusive proton-proton scattering is considered for reactions involving photons. In particular, the reactions (a) ° + p ! H + X; (b) ° + p(") ! ¼§ + X and (c) p(") + p ! ° + X are consideredwhere ° = resolved photon and hyperon H = ¤; §; ¥ etc. Predictions for hyperon polarization in (a) and theasymmetry (in (b) and (c)) provide further tests of this particular model. Feasibility of observing (b) at HERAand the effect of the polarization of the sea in the proton in p(") + p ! ¼§ + X is briefly discussed. 2004 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46434545 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.3A Vol.34
