contents Revisiting the first-principles approach to the granular gas steady state R. C. Proleon W. A. M. Morgado Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas We extend a Fokker-Planck formalism, previously used to describe the behavior of a cooling granular gas, with a Hertzian contact potential and viscoelastic radial friction, giving a velocity dependent coefficient ofrestitution. In the present work, we study the more general case of a steady-state with finite kinetic energy, farfrom equilibrium, due to the coupling to an external energy-feeding mechanism. Also from first-principles, we extend the validity of the former results. 2004 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46434616 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.3B Vol.34
