  • KamLAND data and the solution to the solar neutrino problem P. C. de Holanda A. Yu. Smirnov Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas The first KamLAND results are in a very good agreement with the predictions made on the basis of the solarneutrino data and the LMA realization of the MSW mechanism. We perform a combined analysis of theKamLAND (rate, spectrum) and the solar neutrino data with a free boron neutrino flux fB. The best fit valuesof neutrino parameters are ¢m2 = 7:1 ¢ 10-5 eV2, tan2 µ = 0:40 and fB = 1:04 with the 1¾ intervals:¢m2 = (6:4 - 8:4) ¢ 10¡5 eV2, tan2 µ = 0:33 - 0:48. We find the 3¾ upper bounds: ¢m2 < 1:7 ¢ 10-4eV2 and tan2 µ < 0:64, and the lower bound ¢m2 > 4:8 ¢ 10-5 eV2. In the best fit point we predict forSNO: CC/NC = 0:32+0:08-0:07 and ASNODN = 3:0 § 0:8% (68% C.L.), and ASNODN < 6% at the 3¾ level. Furtherimprovements in the determination of the oscillation parameters are discussed and implications of the solarneutrino and KamLAND results are considered. 2004 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46434719 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.4A Vol.34
