contents Neutrinos at 1%: a reactor based measurement of θ13 David Reyna Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Past studies of neutrinos and the recent results on neutrino mixing have opened up many new possibilities aswell as the understanding that neutrino mixing is very different from the better known quark mixing. The lastremaining unmeasured component of the neutrino mixing matrix (Ue3) also provides a window to understandingneutrino matter effects, the mass hierarchy, and the possibility of measuring leptonic CP violation. A discussionof the benefits and difficulties of pursuing such a measurement with reactor neutrinos will be presented. Inaddition, possible sites for such an experiment will be discussed, including a location in Brazil. 2004 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46434721 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.4A Vol.34
