Dahmen Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas In this paper we study the local persistence of the twodimensional BlumeCapel Model by extending theconcept of Glauber dynamics. We verify that for any value of the ratio a = D=J between anisotropy D andexchange J the persistence shows a power law behavior. In particular for ® < 0 we find a persistence exponentµl = 0:2096(13), i.e. in the Ising universality class.
