contents Big extra dimensions make A too Small Rafael D. Sorkin Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas I argue that the true quantum gravity scale cannot be much larger than the Planck length, because if it werethen the quantum gravity-induced fluctuations in L would be insufficient to produce the observed cosmic “darkenergy”. If one accepts this argument, it rules out scenarios of the “large extra dimensions” type. I also point outthat the relation between the lower and higher dimensional gravitational constants in a Kaluza-Klein theory isprecisely what is needed in order that a black hole’s entropy admit a consistent higher dimensional interpretationin terms of an underlying spatio-temporal discreteness. 2005 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46435212 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.2A Vol.35
