contents XAS of High Pressure Xe Clusters in Amorphous Carbon and Computational Simulation for the fcc and hcp Xenon Crystalline Phases Myriano H. Oliveira Francisco C. Marques Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Xe clusters Amorphous carbon ray absorption spectroscopy We report the investigation of Xe clusters in amorphous carbon by x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) tounderstand the properties of solid xenon. Measurements have been performed on xenon L3 absorption edge atroom temperature (300K). Using computational XANES calculation for fcc and hcp structures it was possibleto study the XANES fine structure origin and a relation between the x-ray absorption near edge structure andthe lattice constant. Comparing those results with our experimental data we determined that the XAS fine nearedge structure has a specific behavior for solid xenon and does not have this behavior for gas Xe end Xe dilutedin others chemical elements matrices. 2006 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46436313 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.2A Vol.36
