- Near-Infrared Emission of Nd-PSS Films Fernando H. Cristovan Reinaldo Ruggiero W. O. Cruz A. Marletta Marcelo C. Silva Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Polystyrene sulphonate Neodymium ions and synthesis route We report a study of a new chemical synthetic route of polystyrene sulphonate (PSS) films doped withneodymium ion (Nd+3) from a neodymium nitrate solution. The UV-Vis-NIR spectrum presents an intensecharacteristic electronic transition at 800 nm and the infrared spectrum presents low definition bands as a resultof Nd3+ coordination with PSS molecule. Additionally, the spectrum of Nd-PSS film presents the same lineshape profile of Nd3+ salt in aqueous solution. Selective luminescence spectroscopy measures shows that theincorporation of neodymium ion introduces a red shift bands and a better line shape definition in UV luminescencecompared to PSS film, decreasing the interaction between PSS aromatic groups. The near-infraredemission was observed in the large spectrum region from 600 to 800 nm; it is associated with the Nd3+ complexof PSS monomer 2006 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46436371 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.2A Vol.36
