contents Gluon Saturation and Proton - Anti-Proton Cross Sections F. Carvalho F.O. Durães E.G.S. Luna Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Gluon saturation Minijet eikonal model Hadronic cross sections We study proton - anti-proton cross sections in the framework of an updated minijet eikonal model. Wepropose a different scheme for fixing the parameters, in which we make use of the measured minijet crosssection. We compare the results obtained with the GRV98, MRST98, CTEQ6-L and KLN gluon distributions. The latter includes gluon saturation effects. We conclude that in the very high energy regime the use of the KLNdistribution improves significantly the behavior of the cross sections. However this improvement is due to theshape of the KLN gluon density and has little to do with saturation effects. 2007 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46437132 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.1A Vol.37
