contents Recent Results of Source Function Imaging from AGS through CERN SPS to RHIC Roy A. Lacey Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Correlation Interferometry Cartesian harmonics Intensity interferometry Recent femtoscopic measurements involving the use of an imaging technique and a newly developed momentanalysis are presented and discussed. We show that this new paradigm allows robust investigation of reactiondynamics for which the sound speed cs =0 during an extended hadronization period. Source functions extractedfor charged pions produced in Au+Au and Pb+Pb collisions show non-Gaussian tails for a broad selection ofcollision energies. The ratio of the RMS radii of these source functions in the out and side directions are foundto be greater than 1, suggesting a finite emission time for pions. 2007 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46437606 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.3A Vol.37
