contents Measurement of the Damping of Liquid SurfaceWave by Diffraction Method Jun Dong Jianxia Qi Runcai Miao Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Diffraction Damping constant Liquid surface wave A simple method for measuring the damping of the liquid surface wave (LSW) based on the diffractionmethod was proposed in this paper. In the experiment, the phenomenon was observed that the intensity distributionof the diffraction patterns from the LSW varies with the position of the incident spot. By theoreticalanalysis of the relationship between the intensity distribution and the LSW amplitude, the damping constant wasobtained. In addition, the viscosity of the liquid can be calculated with this method, too. 2007 artículo científico 0103-9733 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46437710 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=464 Brazilian Journal of Physics application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Física Brazilian Journal of Physics (Brasil) Num.3B Vol.37
