contents Modelo de elementos finitos para determinar el campo de temperatura en una costura de filete F. Ramos Morales A. Duffus Scott M. Rodríguez Pérez E. Díaz Cedré J. Pozo Morejón Jorge Víctor Miguel Oria Computación welding finite elements thermal analysis The present paper analyzes the importance of welding process simulation using the finite element method and themost important requirements during the generation of models. It presents the size of the fused zone (FZ) and the heataffected zone (HAZ), and the grain size and hardness shape of a specimen welded by SMAW process, and cooled byair. A finite elements model, to simulate the welding and cooling conditions of the specimens, was created and thelevel of correspondence between the model and experimental results was studied. A good match between the limitsof the fused and heat affected zones measured on the specimen and determined by finite elements model was found, demonstrating that this method can be used to calibrate the welding schemes. 2007 artículo científico 1665-529X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=46711304 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=467 Ingeniería application/pdf Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán Ingeniería (México) Num.3 Vol.11
