contents Control System Development for a Raman Spectrometer Using Microcontroller Technology Alejandro J. Giménez Rivelino Fl ores Farías J. M. Yáñez-Limón Ingeniería Photomultiplier Raman spectroscopy microcontroller control An electronic control system has been developed for a Raman s pectrometer by using electr onics based on microcontroller technology. With these microcontrollers it is possible to emul ate control circuitry capable of performing complex tasks, such as the monochromator step moto r control and the photomultiplier pulse count r equired in the Raman spectroscopy process. This approach could be used to give new life to valuable scienti fic instruments and tools. The Raman spectrometer control built is now fully functional and compatible with Windows 7. Raman spectra from well-know n materials are presented to compare results and in order to confirm the pr oper operation of the developed control system. 2014 artículo científico 1665-6423 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=47429971013 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=474 Journal of Applied Research and Technology application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Journal of Applied Research and Technology (México) Num.1 Vol.12
