One of the most important tools that can improve the design and architecture of these places is the proper design of lighting systems. Using simulation results in DIALux Evo software and comparing them with lighting standards, technical and operational disadvantages of the current scheme were identified. In this paper, we propose alternative lighting schemes for the courtyard of the Holy Shrine of MASOUMEH considering standards of lighting systems and related international experiences in order to eliminate disadvantages in the current lighting system and to reduce and optimize energy consumption.
