Included are sectionssurveying the direct and mediated reduction of the following species:(a) chlorofluorocarbons; (b) pesticides, fungicides, and bactericides;(c) flame retardants; and (d) disinfection by-products arising fromthe chlorination of water. To provide the reader with a perspective ofthese topics beyond our own work, a total of 238 literature citations, pertaining to studies conducted in numerous laboratories around theworld, appears at the end of this review. 2014 artículo científico 1870-249X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=47532759005 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=475 Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society application/pdf Sociedad Química de México Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society (México) Num.3 Vol.58
